Accent Lighting

Premium accent lighting for South Florida's finest homes.

What "Accent Lighting" actually is

Accent lighting is a focused layer within permanent holiday lighting—used to highlight specific parts of your home rather than washing the entire façade. Think targeted light on peaks, columns, entryways, architectural details, and select rooflines where you want shape and depth to show after sunset.

At Horizon Lighting FL, accent lighting is built using the TruLight permanent outdoor lighting platform. The LED track is mounted cleanly along roof edges and trim so it’s discreet in daylight and precise at night. You can run a warm white “everyday” look, subtle color for weekends, or coordinated scenes for holidays and events—without hanging temporary lights.

Important note: we do not install landscape lighting (path lights, uplights in beds, tree lighting). This page is for home-mounted, roofline-and-trim accent lighting as part of a permanent holiday lighting system.

  • Targeted illumination for peaks, columns, entries, and select rooflines
  • Everyday warm white or color scenes on demand
  • Clean, low-profile track installed on the home (not the yard)
  • Designed as a permanent holiday lighting layer, not seasonal strings

Who it fits best

Accent lighting is ideal for premium single-family homes in Broward and Palm Beach counties where curb appeal matters and neighborhood rules are real. If you live in an HOA-heavy community, permanent outdoor lighting is often easier to manage than temporary holiday installs because it’s consistent, neatly mounted, and can be kept subtle when required.

It’s also a strong fit if your home has details worth showing—multiple rooflines, deep overhangs, columns, stonework, or a defined entry. Rather than adding “more light,” accent lighting adds control: you can choose where the eye goes, keep the rest of the house calm, and change the look without ladders.

Horizon Lighting FL serves Parkland, Coral Springs, Boca Raton, Lighthouse Point, Southwest Ranches, Weston, Plantation, Davie, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, and Hillsboro Beach. Every quote starts with a FREE in-home demo: we measure, bring a sample TruLight track and demo box, and turn the lights on on your actual home before you commit.

  • Luxury single-family homes with architectural detail
  • HOA communities needing a clean, consistent exterior look
  • Homeowners who want “everyday + holiday” without reinstalling lights
  • Families who host—dinners, parties, holiday gatherings, and events

What the install includes

Your accent lighting project starts with that FREE in-home demo. We walk the elevations with you, identify which lines and features should be accented, and test visibility in real time. From there, we design a layout that looks intentional—balanced left-to-right, consistent spacing, and aligned to the architecture.

Installation includes mounting the TruLight track and LEDs on the home, routing and securing wiring for a finished appearance, and setting up zones so you can control different sections independently (for example: front entry vs. peaks vs. side elevation). We finalize by programming a set of starter scenes—typically a warm white everyday look plus a few holiday and event options.

Typical timeline: most homes move from demo to approved design quickly, then to installation on a scheduled date once materials and layout are confirmed. Install time depends on the home’s size and how many elevations are included, but our goal is always a clean one-day install whenever the scope allows.

  • On-site measuring and layout planning
  • Low-profile track mounted to roofline/trim for a discreet daytime look
  • Wiring routed and secured for a clean finish
  • Zoning for independent control of different areas
  • Scene setup for everyday, holiday, and event use
  • Post-install walkthrough and operation guidance

How it fits the bigger system

Accent lighting is one part of a complete TruLight permanent holiday lighting system. Many South Florida homeowners start with a signature roofline outline, then add accents where the home benefits from detail and depth. Because it’s the same platform, everything works together in one control setup—consistent color matching, synchronized scenes, and coordinated timing.

If you’re thinking beyond accent lighting, Horizon Lighting FL also designs and installs Architectural, Security, Holiday, and Event lighting as part of the same permanent outdoor lighting approach. The advantage is continuity: one system, one look, and control that scales with your home instead of piecemeal add-ons.

As an Authorized TruLight Dealer, we keep the design and installation aligned with how the system is meant to perform long-term.
